Since joining forces with the British Forum for Ethnomusicology and the Society for Musicology in Ireland, we’ve moved to a new website
Organised by RMA-LGBTQ+ and BFE-LGBTQ+ Study Groups
You are cordially invited to a social event “Queering Musicology” on Saturday 5th November at 11 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3RA (Room 1-03). Organised by the LGBTQ+ Study Groups of the RMA and BFE, this one-day event aims to gather musicologists interested in queer studies as well as LGBTQ identifying musicologists of all subdisciplines from student up to professorial level. The main goal of the event is to offer an opportunity for networking amongst colleagues in an informal setting in anticipation of a symposium on the topic of music and queer studies, to be held at Edge Hill University in early Summer 2017.
The day will include an opening roundtable held by the organisers, some time for mingling, brainstorming activities for future projects, and entertainment and socialising at a local venue.
Attendance is free of charge but evening entertainment is to be covered by participants. To register, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 10.
